Janos Kodolanyi (1899–1969) is a classical figure in the history of twentieth-century Hungarian culture, a prose epic writer of international standing. He always declared himself to be a Christian, a Hungarian, and a man socially committed. His life’s work has been issued early 2000 in a new edition by the Szent István Társulat.
